2025 Awards: Recognized for Excellence

Custom One is proud to be recognized again in 2025 for our work across multiple divisions—including Custom One Homes, Renovation, Landscaping, and Exteriors. This year’s honors include both statewide recognition through the Star Tribune’s Minnesota’s Best awards and city-level awards from local community magazines.

These awards reflect our continued focus on quality, client satisfaction, and long-term value across the Twin Cities and Western Wisconsin.

Minnesota’s Best 2025 – Statewide Recognition from the Star Tribune

The Minnesota‘s Best awards, organized by the Star Tribune and based completely on public vote, showcase the businesses that Minnesotans trust, rely on, and are loyal to. With more than 1.2 million votes cast in 2025, we are honored to list several key areas where we were recognized. Custom One Homes was awarded Gold for Best Homebuilder, reflecting the thoughtfulness and care we take throughout the design and construction process. Custom One Landscaping received Silver and Bronze for Landscape Design and Outdoor Living recognizing the wonderful new spaces we create and integrate into how families live outside. Custom One Exteriors was awarded Silver and Bronze for Siding, Decking. and Patio Installation– services that often tie directly into our homes and renovation projects. We appreciate the recognition, but more importantly, we appreciate our wonderful clients that continue to trust us!

While the statewide recognition of Minnesota’s Best demonstrates expanded trust across the region, the local awards are special in a whole different way. They come from the communities where we upgrade, remodel, and work on a day-to-day basis. They come from the neighborhoods where our team members live, where word of mouth counts most, and where relationships often begin with a referral or a conversation. These local wins reflect that everyday consideration and connection.

Best of 2025: Local Awards in the Twin Cities and Western Wisconsin

In addition to the series of statewide awards, Custom One received awards in multiple Best Of competitions published by local city magazines throughout the metro area including Woodbury Magazine, Plymouth Magazine, Edina Magazine, Maple Grove Magazine, and Cities South Magazine. These community-voted awards highlight our efforts in our local neighborhoods, and we are thrilled to see all of our divisions recognized across the board!

Woodbury Magazine

Woodbury is where the Custom One story began, so we feel especially proud to be recognized as Best Custom Home Builder for the 12th straight year. This award represents the strong relationships we‘ve established in the Woodbury area—from helping first-time homebuyers to working with repeat clients on the next phase of their lives. We were also recognized for our landscaping work as we earned 3rd Place for Best Landscape Design, which showed how important outdoor living is to what we do.

Cities South Magazine

This year, Custom One received top honors in multiple categories from Cities South Magazine, which serves the communities of Apple Valley, Lakeville and Prior Lake. Custom One Renovation was voted Best Remodeler, which exemplifies the detail and client-driven approach we take to all things renovation. Custom One Exteriors was awarded Best Roofing Service, while Custom One Landscaping received 2nd Place for Landscape Design. To complete the honors, Custom One Homes received 2nd Place for Best Custom Builder, showing that collectively, our Custom One team is strong in homes, renovation, landscaping and exteriors throughout the southern metro.

Maple Grove Magazine

Custom One Exteriors was voted 2nd Place for Best Roofing Company in Maple Grove—our first time ever being acknowledged in this category in the magazine! We can’t say how thrilled we are for our new growing Exteriors team, and we are so proud to know that homeowners are taking notice in the quality of care that we put into our roofing projects across the entire metro area, either through directly repairing and replacing roofs or whether we are supporting new builds and renovations.

Edina Magazine

In the city of Edina, Custom One Landscaping received 2nd Place for Best Landscape Design Service, acknowledging the intentional outdoor spaces we have constructed throughout Edina. From elegant patios and terraces to property–wide makeovers, our company has assisted homeowners in expanding their living areas in ways that seem to relate to the home‘s architecture and daily living.

Plymouth Magazine

For Custom One, Plymouth has produced wins in three categories. Custom One Renovation won Second Place for Best Remodeler, a result of the team continuing their work to transform homes for better living and functionality for growing families and modern lifestyle. Custom One Landscaping won Third Place for Best Landscape Design, and Custom One Exteriors won Second Place for Best Roofing Service—a strong representation of cross divisional capabilities within the same market.

Consistently Recognized for Excellence

These awards aren‘t just a one or done, these are indicative of a long–term standard of service and the relationships we build in neighborhoods, cities and county–wide. Custom One Homes is now ranked number 1 in Woodbury Magazine for 12 straight years. Custom One Renovation has been rated Best Remodeler in several communities since 2023. Custom One Landscaping has continued to be rated in both design and implementation. This year, we were even prouder to see Custom One Exteriors go across multiple cities for roofing & siding descriptions – things that require trust from homeowners. It is great to see our work have resonance – it is even better that the people who took the time to vote and share their stories.
